Wellness with Waldy 6/4

Now that it’s summertime, the berry crops are in full bloom! Everywhere you look, food stands and supermarkets, there are fresh berries. Here are some tips to help you preserve your berries.

1. Wait to wash them. Water attracts mold. Wash your fruit only when you’re ready to eat them.

2. Get rid of the plastic container. Lay them flat on a paper towel in an airtight container. Spread them out so they can breathe.

3. Clean your fridge. Old food like cheese and other fruit may pass on mold spores.

Of course, you can also do this with your other fruit to keep them fresh.
